TRANSMISSION FLUID EXCHANGE

A transmission fluid exchange is something you rarely hear about but is highly beneficial to the safety and maintenance of your vehicle. A transmission flush is when a mechanic replaces the old fluid with new fluid by draining the old oil into a pan, allowing the build up and residue from coolers, converters and cooler lines to drain completely.

BENEFITS OF GETTING A TRANSMISSION FLUID EXCHANGE

Sludge and dirt accumulate in your transmission. It is crucial to clean that out to keep your vehicle running smoothly. Regular maintenance can prevent catastrophic problems down the line, and also keeps your vehicle performing at its peak. As a general rule, you should have your transmission flushed every 30,000 miles, or every two years. There are some cases that require a flush more frequently, or at an earlier time.
